What is Canada CAI Payment & Deposit?

Climate Action Incentive payments will be made to Canadian provinces that use the federal system of carbon pollution pricing to refund the proceeds of the fuel levy to qualified residents. The incentive amount was initially distributed yearly, but beginning with the 2021 tax return, the Canadian government has been paying rewards every three months (quarterly).

The Canadian government distributes the CAIP, also known as the Carbon Tax Rebate, to offset the high cost of federal environmental pricing in the state.
